The artwork titled “Antara Dua Jiwa” symbolizes the union between aman and woman in Malay culture through the use of traditional batikand pelikat motifs. The knotted floral form represents balance, harmony, and the graceful flow of fabric, embodying two identities within aunified cultural spirit. The vibrant batik patterns reflect femininitygentle, expressive, and rich in meaning. In contrast, the structured linesand checks of the pelikat signify masculine strength and modesty. Bothforms swirl together in an endless circular motion. The checkeredpatterns on the pelikat hint at the structured design found in the kepalakain while the batik also features a kepala kain using the iconic pucukrebung motif, deeply rooted in Malay textile heritage. This heritage alsobelongs not to one gender alone, but is a shared legacy that shapes thesoul of a community.
